I have a close friend that has taught me a lot about disordered eating and unique health struggles/triggers. Without medical knowledge, emotional/psychological knowledge, and so much more, I believe it's hard to truly develop a program for "the masses" or even a particular person without knowing all that personalized information. I don’t believe fitness should be cookie cutter, because people are not cookie cutter. Because each person is so unique and different, I don't feel like it's wise for me to continue offering my programs anymore.
Additionally, God has shifted around my passions and daily responsibilities. A lot has changed in my day to day this year, I followed God's prompting and started a Moms in Prayer group that meets each week. Benand I bought an AirBnB/VRBO home that I have responsibility for handling the bookings/flips/admin for. Plus, after 7+ years of running an online business, I developed some yucky phone habits that I wanted to break.
With my responsibilities, I need the space to get daily tasks complete and also rest and recharge, to be the Wife & Mom I'm called to be - my first priority. I made the decision to step back quite a bit in December from my @beckysquares account and started breaking the yucky habits with my phone/social media. I was encouraged to see my insecurities get smaller, and my focus realigned where it should be.
It was a blessing. It showed me what's important to me, and what to keep focusing on in 2022. As of now, I plan to keep @beckysquares active, but it will look a bit different. I see it now as a Jesus focused community, not a business. The last year and a half, my business side of things has shifted to my Color Street business (polishedwithbecky.com) inside my customer Facebook group. (vip.polishedwithbecky.com) For @beckysquares, I want content that I share to pop up on your feed and encourage you in your relationship with Jesus. Whether it's something God is teaching me in my marriage, friendships, family or parenting.
Life is HARD. And life, in these last couple of years, is unbelievably overwhelming. There are so many lies and attacks being thrown at us from every area, we have to cling to Jesus. We have to seek HIS face above all else.
So there you have it. Things have changed, but I think for the better. I'm still the same girl. I still love Jesus focused health, so I know that will creep into my content at times. But more than anything, I hope you'll stick around to keep walking this Christian life with me, encouraging each other and pushing each other to love Jesus and trust Him more than we did the day before.
And a BIG thank you to all of you who have supported me, in the fitness area, for so many years. It was such a great business and ministry for so many years. I'm so thankful for it!
In Christ,
Becky
