How big is baby? 5 inches long. Size of an onion.
How is baby developing this week? Sweat glands are developing and bones are forming.
How I'm changing: Now that the baby moves around a lot during the day, I'm really starting to bond with it. I'm so thankful for that. The bonding took longer this time around.
What I'm eating: The usual - oatmeal for breakfast (I made some muffins this week I ate on too), sandwiches and salads for lunch, tons of clementines (I'm obsessed) and apples. Dinners are normal too. I stopped by Chick-fil-a one day and had a sandwich. I swear I devoured it in like 5 minutes. YUM!!
What I'm NOT eating: BBQ and really strong onion flavored things
How I'm feeling: I felt pretty yucky this week because of the head cold that started last week. It lasted a good 7+ days. Ugh! Lots of resting. I feel like I'm starting to get some of my energy back this week. I'm still tired and nap almost daily, but I feel like it's a pinch better. I'm still dealing with nausea (taking my meds at night and wearing my bands) but I think even that is also a pinch better. I'm going to experiment with taking 1 pill at night and see how I feel during the day, next week.
How my workouts are: The first half of the week I was getting over my cold, so I got in an outdoor walk. Then another day at the gym when I was feeling better - 10 min warm up on treadmill and a 20 min pregnancy friendly WOD..
Thoughts this week: Getting SO EXCITED about finding out the gender. I'm so happy that we will know in just a few short weeks!! We've started talking about names and trying to narrow them down.
Highlights this week: Ben felt the baby move!! At 17 weeks, 6 days I was laying in bed on my back and getting some significant thumps. I grabbed his hand and he was able to feel a couple of them. So special! He got excited and said "I felt it! So cool!" I love all the moving, thumping, and twisting that the baby does during the day. I love sitting with my hand on my belly feeling it move all around. I've started talking to it this week too. :)
Bump details: Feels very tight and heavy. The baby gets in the "baby lump" as I called it with Landon where you can feel the area it is and it just feels like a lump. I love it! I'm also betting my belly button pops out this go round (it didn't with Landon) It's already getting close.
Facts this week:
- Fried chicken eaten: 1
- Bacon eaten: 0
- Clementines eaten: at least 6-8
