How big is baby? Allie weighed 12 ounces at my 20 week ultrasound - the same weight as a can of tomato soup!
How is baby developing this week? She can suck her fingers. In fact, at the ultrasound we saw her pull her hand up to her face and open her mouth. Adorable.
How I'm changing: So while I had peace about it being a girl or boy, the reality of the change in having a girl has hit me and it's a little overwhelming at times. Don't get me wrong, I am beyond blessed and excited that it's a girl.....it's just that boy seems comfortable and easy for me so it's just the unknown of "girl world". When we find out, I was just so thankful and happy to know and Ben was freaking out. He said "What in the world do we do with a girl, babe?!" He also immediately went to the whole "she's going to date losers one day" and "what if she marries a scum bag?". Then, later in the day, I went to the freaking out mode and had all those same thoughts. :)
What I'm eating: Normal food - oatmeal and english muffin for breakfast. Salads and sandwiches for lunch. Regular suppers. Apples, yogurt w/granola and clementines for snacks. Still craving fried chicken like crazy. The bacon craving has died down quite a bit.
What I'm NOT eating: BBQ and really strong onion flavored things.
How I'm feeling: The same. When people ask, I just say "you know it's just the new normal". I truly have just learned to live with it and adapt. :) I've been pretty worn out lately too. Some days I can hardly keep my eyes open and I usually hit an afternoon slump around 3:00 or so. I'm also sleeping pretty crappy too. Grr. My lower back has started hurting just about daily now too. I've pulled out the old faithful heating pad and lay on it quite a bit during the day.
How my workouts are: I got in 2 days this week. I had to skip Body Pump class because Landon wasn't feeling good.
Highlights this week: By far, finding out we're having a GIRL at our 20 week ultrasound. Seeing that she is healthy and developing right on track. She was in the same position as Landon (frank breech) with her feet and hands up by her head and her butt first. She didn't cooperate for a while on finding out the gender because of her position, but we finally got the "money" shot towards the end of the ultrasound. Whew! I do have to have another ultrasound at my 24 week apt because they couldn't get measurements/pictures of her lower spine.
Bump details: Itching like crazy. Growing a TON.
Facts this week:
- My belly measured 21 cm at my apt.- Allie's heart rate was 148.
- Allie weighed 12 oz and is in the 66th percentile for weight.
- I gained 1 lb from my last apt, so I'm up 10 lbs total.
