How big is Allie? Measures about 17-19 inches long and more than 4.5 pounds.
How is Allie developing this week? Her head circumference jumps up half an inch this week, due to brain growth. She also now has her own immune system developed. My amniotic fluid has met it's maximum and it's now more baby than fluid in there.
How I'm changing: Gone is the 2nd trimester energy and good sleeping. Boo!
What I'm eating: The usual - oatmeal for breakfast with English muffin. Lunch is a mix of leftover soups, sandwiches and salads. Snacks are apples, oranges, nuts, yogurt, and cereal. Supper has been the same - just nothing really heavy or spicy. I've had more indigestion this week which has kept me up a lot at night. I also made another batch of canned cinnamon rolls this week. (my 2nd batch this pregnancy)
What I'm NOT eating: big portions at meal time and nothing really heavy or spicy.
How I'm feeling: I am tired all the time because I haven't been sleeping good. Seems I wake up at 3:00am each morning either because of indigestion or the fact that I just can't get comfortable. It's almost impossible for me to wake up each morning. I've been taking lots of afternoon naps too. I had to wear my pregnancy support belt some this week because my belly feels so heavy. Emotionally, some days I'm good and other days I'm a complete mess. I swear I feel like I'm on a roller coaster.
How my workouts are: I think I just got in 1 day this week. Honestly, I have little energy or desire to workout right now. I'm not sure if it's just from being so tired and worn out or what, but it hasn't been a top priority lately. I do miss it and enjoy it when I'm there.....it's just more work now than before. (obviously)
Highlights this week: Getting all the items needed for Allie's arrival. Her mattress came this week - which actually ended up being too soft so we gave it to Landon and put his in her crib. I packed her hospital bag and got mine together too, with a note for things I'll throw in before we go. Ben's painting her dresser and I picked out a turquoise for him to paint her side table. Hopefully those will be finished and in place the next couple weeks. Left to do is some freezer meal cooking, setting up all the "gear" and getting everything ready downstairs - since I can't do stairs for the first 2-3 weeks.
Bump details: Just feels really heavy. She's still moving all over too. Landon's been really sweet lately and will come over and just kiss my belly out of nowhere. Several times, he's even asked to feel it and will lay his little hand on my belly. Seriously adorable. It also bothers him that I can't zip up my jacket/coat because of my belly so he always says "Get Allie out" when we talk about why it won't zip. :)
Facts this week:
- Ben and I got a nice Valentine's Day date night over the weekend. We saw "The Choice" and ate at one of our favorite places.
- Landon turns THREE tomorrow (Wednesday) so we've also been in party mode. He had his friend party at his favorite ice cream place over the weekend and we're having his family party this coming weekend. Busy and fun things going on!
