How big is Allie? 5.5 pounds and about 20 inches long (she's more than likely just about met her length max)
How is Allie developing this week? She's basically just finalizing her development and adding on the pounds until her arrival.
How I'm changing: Our schedule has slowed down now (yay!) so I'm just focused on Allie's arrival. Spending time with Landon, Ben, and just doing what we can to prep!
What I'm eating: The usual - oatmeal for breakfast with English muffin. Lunch is a mix of leftover soups, sandwiches and salads. Snacks are apples, oranges, nuts, yogurt, and cereal. Supper has been the same - just nothing really heavy or spicy.
What I'm NOT eating: big portions at meal time and nothing really heavy or spicy.
How I'm feeling: I'm still freaked out about a lot of things: having two kids, newborn stage again (in addition to toddler life), C-section and recovery.....but God's given me peace lately. Honestly, my attitude is just kind of like "Ok, I know it'll be hard and crazy....let's just get it started." The anticipation is getting to me!
How my workouts are: I got in 3 days! All at the gym - treadmill walks and body weight exercises.
Highlights this week: Ben finished the dresser and side table that he had been making for her. Yay!!
Bump details: It's big and heavy and makes it hard to get comfortable at night. Plus, my hips and sciatic nerve have been acting up too.
Facts this week:
- I've started talking to Landon about the restrictions I'll be under after the C-section so he's prepared. We've been talking about how Mommy will have a boo boo and I can't pick him up (which I can't now anyways) and I can't go upstairs for a few weeks. I have also started explaining how Mommy will feed Allie a lot, how she will nap a lot, and how she will sleep in Mommy and Daddy's room.
- Out of the blue, this week, Landon said (from the backseat of the car) - "I love Allie. I want to hold and kiss her." Melt my Momma heart!
- I made a paper chain countdown for Landon to "get it" more. I can't believe how short that thing is!
- I finalized our plans for Landon when we go to the hospital.
