I liked the flow of this week's runs. They felt good, as a schedule, this week. I got up early a couple mornings because I'm running longer and Ben had to leave early too. #tiredMomma This has been the hardest week on me, physically I think. My arches and feet are really sore. I self diagnosed myself with plantar fasciitis a few months ago, so I'm treating it like that. I've had to buy new house shoes, new inserts, and new dress shoes. I just can't handle the paper thin sandals/shoes anymore. I need arch support. #old #runnerslife Also, we had less humidity the last half of the week and the cool morning temps were so nice a couple runs! I was actually chilly until I warmed up!!
My STATS for this week's training:
(All runs with interval: 9 min run/2 min walk)
35 minutes / 3.19 miles / 10:59 AP
50 minutes / 4.56 miles / 10:58 AP
25:32 minutes / 2.24 miles / 11:22 AP
Long Run: 8 miles / 1:26:41 / 10:49 AP (group run)
What was hard this week?
Feet pain. Getting up early a couple mornings. Momma likes sleep. Also, the last half mile of my long 8 mile run was hard. I had a side stitch and my legs were toast. Mentally I was sick of running too. 😬
What was easy this week?
Running. It really was one of my easiest feeling weeks for me. Still challenging, but running wise, "easy". I changed up my route one day, downloaded a new book to listen to ("Unglued" by Lisa T) and loved running with my water belt. It all made such a difference this week.
Any aches or pains?
My arches are sore and achey. Hoping to remedy it with better shoes on my off time and stretching. I got new inserts for my running shoes too, at our running store. They also gave me a few new stretches to do too. 🙌🏼 I got a crazy side stitch I couldn't get to go away the last half mile of my long run (8 miles) this week. That was annoying and painful. 😩
I can't believe I ran over 17 MILES this week!!!! 💁🏻
