Life with two is in full swing! We're in our 2nd full week home and I'd say we're all doing our best! :)
Daddy is off one more week of work (Halelujah) and Landon's Spring Break is over so he's back at MDO. It'll be nice to get back to his regular schedule. I think he's going to appreciate that. I know Mommy and Daddy will! My Mom is coming to help out next week while Ben is at work. I feel like I need one more week of assistance before I do it solo.
EASTER
We had a very untraditional Easter this year. No yummy Easter meal and no Church. A first for us. We did get in our Easter egg dyeing and Egg hunt the night I went into labor, so that made me happy. We got home from the hospital on Saturday, so Sunday was our first full day at home. I had both of the kids an Easter basket that Landon loved opening. I keep them small and filled with things for outside play/summer fun. Landon got a new rash guard shirt for swimming, a pool toy, some more sidewalk chalk, a Spider Man painting book, and some goldfish. Allie got a pool hat, sunglasses, and some hair clips that Landon and I picked out together.

OTHER HAPPENINGS
The weather has been warm(ish) and sunny so we're spending a lot of time outside. Ben's been taking Landon here and there during the day to keep him busy, but we've also been doing a lot of backyard playing. I'd been wanting Ben to make Landon a sandbox/table for this summer and he came up with this genius idea of a sand tray to sit on our outdoor coffee table. We loaded it up with sand and rocks and tons of his construction trucks. It's perfect because it's on the back porch, in the shade, and where the comfy chairs are for Momma and Daddy to sit in. :) We try to get out there on the pretty days and spend one on one time with Landon while Allie naps.

Allie is still sleeping most of the day away. She's a great little snuggle bug. I haven't gotten as many snuggles in as I'd like, but I'm hoping once things settle down I can utilize Landon's MDO days to get some good Mommy-Allie snuggles in. Life is definitely WAY busier with a newborn AND 3 year old than it is with just a newborn. :) Whew!
Allie got her first sink-sponge bath at 6 days old, on her due date. It was a family event with Daddy holding her, Mommy cleaning her, and Landon "helping". Quite frankly it was madness. LOL At one point, Ben said "Holy cow, way too many things are happening at once." Never a more true statement of life with two. LOL

Allie turned 1 week old! And this was right before I changed her diaper and she projectile pooped all over me and the couch. :)
We survived our first outing as a family of four. Allie had her 1 week dr appointment. Landon was so glad it wasn't for him and loved watching Allie get her checkup. Sister surpassed her birth weight and weighed 7lbs, 12 oz and was almost 21 inches long. We discussed the fact that she spits up (which Landon never did) and Dr. didn't seem concerned about it since she's still gaining weight.
Landon and Daddy went to Landon's first Dress Up Birthday Party. The theme was Prince/Princesses so Mommy did a little DIY (thank you Pinterest) and made Landon into his favorite Prince (and really the only Prince he knows) Prince Wednesday, from Daniel Tiger's Neighborhood. He was adorable in his crown and cape. He had a blast at the party and Daddy enjoyed some adult conversation. :)
Allie has started fighting bed time. One night she projectile spit up on me twice so that was fun. The other nights she has issues pooping and cries because it hurts. The hard part is that by that time, my body is exhausted and my back is super weak and DONE from the day. (Thank you 9 months of pregnancy and a C-section) It's hard to rock/sway/bounce her for too long. BUT the positive is (see.....trying to choose Joy more) is that it's BEFORE bedtime and not the wee hours of the night. :) We're still getting asleep by 10:00/11:00pm - which is later than we'd like - but still totally doable.

It's been a fun, exhausting, overwhelming, and loving 12 days. :)
