I found them on everydayannie.com several years ago and make them A LOT. They're one of the easiest things to make EVER because they only take a handful of ingredients that I usually already have on hand. Next time you need something to take to a baby shower or brunch you're hosting, MAKE THESE SCONES.
Mini Chocolate Chip Scones
(recipe & picture from everydayannie.com)
1.5 cups + 2 Tbsp all purpose flour
pinch of salt
2 tsp baking powder
1 cup heavy cream
1/4 cup sugar
1 cup chocolate chips (I use miniature)
2 Tbsp butter, melted
extra sugar for sprinkling
Add all the dry ingredients to a large bowl and mix well. Stir in the chocolate chips. Add heavy cream and stir until a dough forms. Knead with well floured hands, until dry ingredients are incorporated. Scoop spoonfulls onto parchment covered baking sheet. I usually shape them into mini triangles the best I can, to mirror the scone "look". Brush melted butter on top and sprinkle sugar. Bake at 375 for 15-20 minutes, or until lightly browned.
