How big is baby? 4.5 inches long (1 whole inch bigger from last week!) The size of an avocado, and 3.5 ounces!
How is baby developing this week? Toenails are developing, the ears and eyes are moving into place, and the hair pattern on the scalp has begun!
How I'm changing: I feel a lot like I did with Landon when I was way further along. Ha. My lower back already hurts. I can't carry Landon upstairs without stopping. It's hard to breathe at times. Crazy!
What I'm eating: Back to normal eating this week - oatmeal and English muffin for breakfast. Salads and sandwiches for lunch. Regular dinners and snacks. Still craving fried chicken and bacon a lot! Haven't had it since Canada though. :)
What I'm NOT eating: BBQ and really strong onion flavored things
How I'm feeling: I've felt pretty "normal" this week. Meaning, just the usual nausea and daily headaches. Nothing out of the pregnancy normal for me. I've realized that looking at my phone or the computer screen makes my nausea worse, so I have to stay away as much as possible. I've told everybody to call me instead of text if they need me immediately. :)
How my workouts are: I got in a 15 minute treadmill workout followed by a 15 minute pregnancy friendly Crossfit WOD workout. Other than that, I'm not sure what else I did.....I can't remember. I didn't make it to Body Pump because I was so tired that morning. I'm dying to get back! It's been a couple weeks!
Thoughts this week: Been VERY emotional this week. I guess I should've mentioned that under "how I'm feeling". I'm consumed by thoughts of how this new baby will effect Landon, me, Ben, our dynamic, etc. I'm also in that stage of "will I really love this baby as much as Landon?" I'm praying a lot about it and have talked to lots of people for encouragement. I also feel scared and worried about another C-section, the recovery (mine was AWFUL with Landon) and the logistics of recovery with a toddler AND baby. I'm claiming Isaiah 26:3 to combat that fear: "You will keep in perfect peace all who trust in you, all whose thoughts are fixed on you."
Highlights this week: My monthly doctor appointment and hearing the baby's heartbeat never gets old.
Bump details: Itching like CRAZY!!!
Facts this week:
- Baby's heart rate at dr apt: 150
- Total weight gained: 7 lbs (5 lbs from last apt! Yikes!! Hello babymoon food!)
- Milk consumed: a glass each morning! SO GOOD!! (a pregnancy craving)
- I bought a pair of maternity workout capris. Genius. I didn't have those with Landon and knew I wanted them this go around. So comfy!!
