As you know, Allie was born in March. She was my 2nd pregnancy and my 2nd c-section. I'd say I'm pretty much back to normal now. Maybe about 90% normal. Honestly, with a c-section (at least this was the case after Landon's so I'm assuming it'll be the case now, too) I'm not sure if I'll ever be 100%, but I'll take 90%! With Landon, I couldn't ever really do much lower ab exercises and it's the same way. The strength and muscles just aren't really there to do it. But hey, we move on. I have 2 precious babies that are worth any weak ab muscles I have! I've come a long way with my emotions and feelings on being a c-section mom!
Ok now let's talk about my fitness. I can count on one hand the times I've been in the gym. I've utilized many different Beachbody products during the last 6 months or so, since getting cleared for full blown exercise. I wanted to outline those below, for you, because I LOVE these products and you NEED TO TRY THEM!!!
- 22 Minute Hard Corps : This was the first program I did upon clearance for full blown exercise at 6 weeks post partum. This program is done by famous trainer Tony Horton. He's the guy behing the super popular P90x programs. This workout is bootcamp style workouts and includes both resistance training (weights), core, and cardio. The best part of this workout - and the sole reason I did this program - the workouts are ONLY 22 MINUTES! Yes. For real. From start to finish, just 22 minutes. But that entire time you are WORKING hard. Since it's just 22 minutes you have to work hard to make those 22 minutes worth it! I love this program becaue this Momma doesn't always have tons of time for a long workout and getting it done in 22 minutes is ideal for me! Through this program, I was able to get strength and endurance back!
- 21 Day Fix : Another popular program that we offer. This comes with the super popular Portion Fix containers and Nutrition Plan, but since I'm breastfeeding Allie, I didn't worry about the portion containers. I've done the program before so I knew the gist, but I wasn't interested in counting calories. I LOVE these workouts. I have the Extreme program (there's a regular one too) and these workouts are ONLY 30 MINUTES and they're good. Upper body, Plyometrics, Lower Body, Piltes, Yoga, and Cardio. This was my 2nd time doing this program and I felt so strong and just flat out awesome doing these workouts and completing them. This will always be one of my favorites. My mid-section really toned up and my muscles got more defined too.
- Beachbody on Demand (BOD) : Simply put, it's Netflix for workouts. The best part is the first 30 days are FREE and then it's just $40 billed quarterly after that, if you choose to continue. I really like BOD and the ease of it. It is streamed anywhere you have internet. So I've done it on my laptop in the living room as well as on my phone in the backyard while Landon played around me. This is great for traveling too because you can do it anywhere you have WiFi (and even where you don't, too!) There are lots and lots of workouts available on BOD and I like that it plans out a workout calendar for you, or you can pick and choose what you want. I've done dance, cardio, weights, yoga....you name it, it's on there. This is great for those days I wanted variety and easy to access.
I'm really proud of where I'm at and the progress I've gotten so far. I still have goals I want to meet and I'm focusing on continuing to strengthen my core and improve my posture by doing PiYo with my January Challengers. I've also got more strength and endurance I'd like to get as well. I know it'll happen with more hard work! :)
So that's where I'm at. It's a journey and I'm working as hard as I can, in the time I have, and the schedule I have to get to where I want to be!
And hey, if you want any information on these products or programs I've done (or any others) contact me below and I'll answer any questions you may have or help explain anything further!
