Preparing for Baby #2 (To-Do List & Hospital Bags)

I had several people ask to see my "Allie To-Do List" so I thought I'd just throw it on the blog.  :)

Let me preface by saying, I'm a list maker.  I live by lists.  If it's not on a list, I forget.  I find MUCH JOY in marking things off lists.  Also, I'm having a repeat C-section so some of this doesn't apply to everyone.  Our home is 2 story so I've got to make camp downstairs in our room for several weeks because I won't be able to go up the stairs. 

>> To-Do:
- Shower Thank You notes sent
-Crib put together in her room
-Side table built (Ben's building)
-Wall hanging built (Ben's building)
-Dresser built (Ben's building)
-Mattress bought
-Glider moved (and new one bought for Landon)
-Bedding washed and in bed
-Extra necessities bought (diapers, monitor, clothes, blankets, etc.)
-Blankets and burp cloths washed and in downstairs closet
-Clothes washed and in drawers and size nb-3 downstairs on our dresser
-New Breast pump parts ordered and installed, bags bought for milk storage
-Nursing bras, tanks, and recovery panties washed and ready to go
-Pads for recovery
-Bottles sterilized and in pantry
-Boppy(s) washed and downstairs
-Swing and bouncy seat in Hearth Room
-Pack N Play set up
-Plans for Landon arranged for scheduled C-section and Backup plan made

Here's our Hospital Bag lists (mine and Allie's....Ben handles his own).  We'll be in the hospital 72 hours.  Last time, I took way too much and with the C-section I am bound to the bed the first whole day.  I won't get up and take a shower until Day 2.  At that time, I plan to just wear my gown, robe, nursing tank or sleep bra, hospital panties, socks and house shoes.  I won't have the energy to do much more than a quick shower, mandated walking through the halls for recovery and napping!  On the way home, I'll wear some maternity yoga pants, maternity top and tennis shoes. 

>> Allie's Hospital Bag:
- take home outfit and hat
- blankets (one thin one and one thicker one Landon picked out for her)
- Gown and socks
- extra PJ
- boppy
- burp cloth

>> My Hospital Bag:
- nipple butter
- toothbrush and toothpaste
- pick, comb, bobby pins and hair clip
- shampoo and conditioner
- Deodorant, lotion and chapstick
- house shoes
- camera and video camera (chargers)
- phone charger
- pillow
- Contacts/Glasses
- socks, gown and Robe
- 1 pair PJs (backup)
- Nursing tank (2) and sleep nursing bra
- Going home outfit and tennis shoes
- Landon's Big Brother gift
