I had a busy week this week, so my runs seemed to be a "get it done" kind of mentality and they didn't seem too difficult this week. I guess I had so much else on my mind, I didn't think too much about my runs. I also pushed myself to go faster on my 30 min run this week and I'm really proud of my time. I didn't keep going to get to 3 miles because I wanted my time to reflect my pace and how hard I pushed it in those 30 minutes. I think it's a great time give my walk interval!!!! So close to 3 miles!
My STATS for this week's training:
(All runs on a 9 min run/2 min walk interval)
45 min / 4.06 miles / 11:05 AP
50 min / 4.62 miles / 10:49 AP
30 min / 2.90 miles / 10:28 AP
Long run: 9 miles / 1:37:56 / 10:51 AP (group run)
What was hard this week?
A little knee pain earlier in the week and arch pain. I've gotten new shoes (even house shoes) with arch support and that's starting to really help. I feel like an old lady now having to wear certain type shoes (even dress shoes!) ha!
What was easy this week?
Surprisingly, my long run (9 miles). I am the most proud of that run, so far. It was chilly and rainy and I still killed it!! I ran with another girl from my run group (and we were the only ones who came) and I felt really good during the whole run! The last mile was the toughest, but even then, not as bad as precious runs. 🙌🏼 The rain stopped after about 30 minutes, too. It was a great run! Talk about a runner's high!!!
Any aches or pains?
Still just mostly arch pain but it's getting better. My knees act up sometimes. I just changed my gait a little when that happens and it seems to help. I love warm epson salt baths!! 😊
Funny Misc:
One day my water bottle wasn't completely closed and it leaked all over me during my run. I was soaked on that one side of my waist. 🙈
I seeth be in sight and I'm getting really excited!!!!!
