Who is this group best suited for?
1. Women who have previously completed my Back to BASICs program and ready for the next level in their health & fitness.
2. Women who have NOT completed my Back to BASICs program, but are on the intermediate to advanced level in their health & fitness, ready for accountability and results.
3. Women who are interested in a weights only program, looking to tone up (without getting bulky), needing a weights plan but unsure of what to do, and any woman who needs help learning how to tone up!
Will I get bulky muscles like a guy?
NO! Simply put: women are not made up to get bulky like men without MAJOR intervention in what you eat, supplements, hormones, etc. We don't have enough testosterone in our bodies to bulk up like a man by simply lifting weights alone. PLUS, my workout plans are not created to bulk you up, but to simply shape your body to have strong, sleek, toned muscles you'll be proud of! My goal in creating these workout plans, is for you to feel strong and toned, not masculine and bulky.
What does the Facebook group and daily check-ins involve? I have little time in my week for much more on my to-do list. The Facebook group is simply an online accountability group. It's our private place together. I'll post our daily devotions there and we'll use it to check in throughout the day with our food and workouts. Doing this, helps you in BIG ways. Knowing you have to share your daily food and workout with the group helps you stay on track. I also post weekly tips, motivation, and recipes to help educate and encourage you. Simply signing in once a day with a quick check-in is sufficient in the group. If a day gets too busy and you can't get signed in, that is ok! Just hop in the next day to check-in for that day!
What kind of workouts are available?
There is a Full Body Toning workout program (and an additional core focused add-on) - made by me - specifically for this group.
> Full Body Weights ($45) - a 4 week workout plan focusing on weights for the entire body (top to bottom). 20-30 minutes, 5 times a week, all can be completed at home or at the gym. Light and Heavy hand weights are required. This workout is weights driven, but also has cardio/high intensity interval training (HIIT) workouts mixed in to ensure you maximize calorie burn and lose weight!
> Plank & Prayer Add-On ($10) - this plan is optional and can be purchased as an add-on to the main Full Body Toning plan, for added core strengthening. It's created to be done in addition to another plan. It's a 30 day Plank challenge (increasing in time you hold a plank each day) with an additional Bible verse to read & focus on while you're planking each day. After all, planking is tough! By focusing on and reading that day's Bible verse, while you plank, your time will go by much faster - and you'll be filling your mind with God's truth! #winwin
What is the cost?
The cost of the group is the purchase of the workout plan of your choice. I've kept the costs low so you can get a good workout program without breaking the bank!
What if I don't own any hand weights or workout at home?
Because this program is designed to TONE up and help you build muscle, in addition to slimming down, hand weights are required for the workout plan. I recommend a light set (5-8 lbs) and a heavy set (10-15 lbs). Investing in hand weights doesn't have to break the bank! Most sporting goods stores carry them as well as places like Wal-Mart and Target! You can also look online and at local discount second hand sporting goods stores.
What kind of things will I learn?
Each week will focus on a theme to help us really dig in and learn about training our bodies. The daily devotions are also focused on helping you see what the Bible says about your and your body, reminding us that God made us all individually unique. This is key in this journey. We'll learn how to BE YOU, and be happy with that. Plus, I'll be sharing several fitness/health tips each week to help educate you on all you need to know to get toned and see results! Don't forget recipes! There will be several recipes too!
